New music out now from the breath taking Tara Shannon!

New Music Monday 🍁

I would say of all the artists in this new collection, Jann Arden has been one of the most influential on me. Her music…her voice…her shows…the way she can slay and then in the next moment laugh at herself with her special blend of self deprecating humor…keeping it real…giving us permission to do the same. I leave every show of hers inspired to be a better artist and a better human. She uses her voice not only to lift us up but to encourage us to action and try to make the world a better place.

For me, she encompasses what it is to be Canadian. And her song Unloved was the first track that anchored the idea for this album.

I hope you enjoy our version. ❤️

A show you don’t want to miss!!

When I started Cover Story, I wasn’t just choosing songs. I was choosing moments. Each track on this album holds a memory of the first time I heard it, the feeling it stirred, and the way it shaped my own voice as an artist.

These songs belong to incredible Canadian women whose artistry carved a path for mine. Singing them now feels like having a conversation across time, a way to say thank you, to honour their stories, and to carry them forward in my own way.

On October 4, I get to share that conversation with you live. I can’t wait for you to hear how these songs have lived in me and how they have grown into something new.
