Rural Soundscapes

A soundtrack designed to sync with a scenic drive, allowing listeners to start at a specific point and enjoy a unique, immersive experience along the route.

Rural Soundscapes Volume 1 begins at 44.70605 N & 80.92748 W in Georgian Bluffs Ontario Canada on Grey Road 1, or, "the Women's Institute Lookout" Parquette (A.K.A the Tea Cups)
and continues along Island View Drive / Grey Rd 1 for approximately 30 minutes to 44.74067 N, 81.14085 W, or,
The Historic Frosty Freeze in Wiarton.

Hit play as you head out on Island View Drive and let these sounds provide a sonic companion to the rugged vistas of our Bruce Peninsula.

Please follow the speed limit as closely and safely as possible for the sounds to synch to your surroundings, always follow the rules of the road and have a sober designated driver.

After a decade on the bay, we’ve decided it’s time for a change.

As much as we love the summers on the water, the sunrises, and my amazing studio, we’ve come to realize that the winters, the distance from town, and the upkeep of the property are becoming a lot to manage.

This place has been much more than a house to us. It’s been the backdrop for some incredible memories.

If you’ve ever dreamed of life on the bay, this is truly a magical spot. We hope the next owners will love it as much as we have and create their own unforgettable memories here.

As for us, we’re looking forward to whatever the next chapter may bring, which will absolutely include more music!

O.S. Collective? The Owen Sound Collective is a group of musicians, writers, and producers from Owen Sound and the surrounding area who come together to perform in a variety of unique configurations. Each performance highlights a different combination of artists and styles. These seasoned stage warriors are sure to provide some great takes on songs you love!

I know it might seem like a long time off, but every year when I post my Summerfolk photos, I inevitably get a few people who ask about how they can attend or who tell me it's too expensive.

Based on what regular 2 hour concert tickets are going for these days, I'd suggest even full price for a weekend full of arts and music is a bargain.

But if you'd either like to save a few bucks or pay for your pass with your time, now is the time to act.

The festival is still looking for volunteers. Giving a minimum of 12 hours of your time either before, during or after the festival gets you access to the festival and other perks. Details here - https://summerfolk.org/volunteers/

And if neither of those will work for you, I think I read that the festival will be hosting another community concert the Thursday night before the festival begins. Last year's was a highlight of the summer for me, so put it in your calendar.
