Birchbark Media, a digital marketing agency in Peterborough, is looking for people to take part in fall photo shoots for our client, RTO8, Kawarthas Northumberland.

We’re seeking:
🍂 A family with school-age children
🍁 A couple (ages 20–50)
🛶 A couple (ages 55+)
🍎 A group of adult friends (any age)

Shoots will be on weekdays during the day at a cottage resort in Northumberland County the week of October 6th (specific date TBD), with a possible second shoot near Fenelon Falls.

We’ll be capturing fun fall activities like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, boat rides, and bonfires.

In other news ... October was busy in Birchbark land. Sailboats & houseboats, surfing waves & clouds, fall reds & tropical blues. We had a busy month of video shoots and conferences that kept the team on the move from Hamilton to Panama and more than a few spots closer to home. Next up is Costa Rica and several days in the editing room.

Spent some time with Greg and some of the Elmhirst's team/family to dive into how they have been working to reduce their impact on the environment. This short documentary only scratches the surface on all the things they do. The generational efforts to maintain an authentically rural Ontario experience involve much more than a recycling program or not washing your towels daily. It was refreshing to learn how deep and far reaching their view on sustainability is. From simple but smart business decisions to big infrastructure changes, pressuring suppliers to naturalizing shorelines. Elmhirst's Resort is well on their way to moving past zero footprint and into actual regenerative tourism.

In March of 2023 Aidan William Tate was called Home (November 11, 2003 - March 8th, 2023). Aidan is the son of longtime Birchbark Media team member Philip Tate.
