Those of you whom have supported me and journeyed along the last piece of the puzzle arrived today. Best Christmas present ever! The price of admission isn’t cheap and the learning curve will be overwhelming but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

First 2 sets of 4 coyote 5.0L heads out the door. One was a complete rebuild new guides valves and the other was in for the same just needed valves

Disassemble
Jet wash
Remove valve guides
Vapour hone
Installed new
Hone to size
Multi angle valve job
Resurface
Final clean and reassemble

The first set was done in 2 days the other set ran into weather delays with parts and I had to go to the dealer 😖 $181.78 for 32 stem seals vs $55 what do you do when you just need to get the job done.

Edelbrock Olds heads came in for flow testing fresh out of the machine shop! They had done some chamber repair work🫤 not impressed nor was the customer when I sent the pictures.

So I disassembled and chemically stripped the paint off the heads Vapour honed them and clean up the valves measured spring
pressures and finally flow tested. Now they look how they should have the first time abit more pride in workmanship around here why settle for anything less than perfect or close to.

These dirty max heads sure lived up to their name. Worse set Iv ever seen. They sat in the jet washer for hours once they came out it was evident a more invasive approach would be needed. Valve guides were toast so I removed them and ported the carbon out of the intake runners vapour honed them till clean. Installed the new guides sized them and valve jobbed the heads checking valve recession after skimming them to true the deck which is what I was going just do in the first place. It would have been interesting to see how bad the flow was restricted on the flow bench I’m sure they are better now.

Small stuff photo drop YZ-450, Suzuki and Honda heads in for rebuilding and some porting
These little heads really challenge me which I like. Valve broke on the Honda had to drill out the broken exhaust guide to relieve the press fit. Installed new and sized. Remove chamber damage as well.

Suzuki head supplied guide were .10” too big so had to look and luckily found 2 bronze manganese that fit on hand I hand kicking around.

YZ head was fully ported chambers polished and seats blended.

I’m a Rottler owner now pulled the trigger and bought the SG7 seat and guide machine this past week, working on logistics getting it here and tooling it. Chad Speier is helping me out with tool selection 😃 very exciting!

Everything will be offered in house finally a true 5 angle performance valve job can be found locally and dialled in on my SF-600 flow bench for those after more.

Can anyone guess why this intake valve is clean like this? It has nothing to do with air flow and I have a theory. See if we are on the same page!

Do I buy the Berco fully tooled or the Rottler and spend the 10k to tool it? Either way I have never operated one kinda just want it to have one 😆

LT4 blower in for a make over it may not look like a lot of work but they are a lot of it is enlarging areas and transitions. This now has a massive Katech 103mm throttle body now fitted and a pvc delete.

Disassemble
Fully ported
Transitions blended on intake runner outlets
Snout enlarged to fit new TB
Remove old silicone and clean sealing surfaces
Final clean
Reassemble

Another bonus time laps of me cleaning

Ford 3.0L heads in for an over haul they had very bad leak down. As it turned out the valves were pretty much toast and needed to be replaced no margin was left.

Disassemble
Jet wash and V***r hone
Dye penetrant test for cracks
Replaced 3 broken exhaust manifold studs and heli coiled
Multi angle valve job
Resurfaced
Final clean
Reassemble

Bonus clip of a time laps roughing out a set of 243 intake runners.

370cc Bbc Victor rectangle port heads

These came bare pretty much a porters casting so lots of material to remove. Iv posted before and after flow numbers for those curious. Going on a 510ci drag engine. There’s about 45hrs of just port work and testing one thing to keep in mind these numbers will pick up as there’s no valve job completed yet. And this test was done on the shorter poorer intake runner vs the longer better runner but I can say without a doubt these are going to work well very happy with these gains.

Ls 823s for a 6.0L mud bog truck in for porting and rebuild. Been awhile since in the grinder 317 coming off and these going on a N/a set up.

Disassemble
Jet wash and vapour hone
Fully ported and flow tested
New valve guides installed and sized
Multi angle valve job
Resurfaced
New intake valves as the margin was pretty much gone on the old valves.

Customer will assemble with new cam
