One year ago today, I cracked the mic on the Peak for the first time. So, I guess it's time I stopped calling myself the "New Afternoon Guy," eh? 😅

Thank you so much for making this show such a fun thing to do every day. Thank you for all the stories, and smiles and laughter that you've shared with me, and for making me feel so welcome here.

Today, you get to ask me anything you like (as long as it's safe for radio 😉)! You can ask about me, or about Port Alberni, about radio in general, or about any other wild and wonderful topic you like (nothing political, though, lets keep things fun). I'll do my best to answer, regardless of my expertise!

Not sure if you’ve heard the commercials - but the Pizza Factory has been all over The Peak lately. They wanted us to try their stuff - putting their money where their mouth is … or something.

And hooooooooo boy lemme tell you …. I’d seriously advise a 12 hour fast before trying the Roger burger. The thing is huge. Perhaps needs its own postal code!? Hand made patties - and breaded chicken….. 🤤 🤤

Is there a scarier prospect in life than facing your fears? Or a better feeling than actually conquering them?

Here's a nice, light question for you? Is physical media dead?

I saw a post from one of the town garage sale groups where someone was giving away a bunch of DVDs, and I couldn't help but wonder what level of interest there is for those here in the Valley.

In the age of streaming and digital ownership, do you still have collections of CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, etc? And do you still make use of that collection, or is it becoming shelf-candy?

It's SHARK WEEK!!! Time to celebrate the ocean's favourite apex predator!

And, since the Discovery Channel has yet to do a definitive ranking of the Coolest Sharks on Earth, I say that determination is now up to us!

What, in your mind is the most awesome shark in existence? Is it the Mako, small and scrappy? The Hammerhead in all its weird-looking glory? The ol' favourite Great White? Or something even stranger?

It is Action Movie Night on 93.3 the Peak!

Since summer is the season of the Action Blockbuster, I thought today would be a great opportunity to celebrate those films that keep us entertained with fights, explosions, and the occasional romantic sub-plot.

That said, your favourite "Action" films don't necessarily need to fit that '80s mold! Films with car chases, big monsters, battles, etc, are fair game, too! And they don't have to be "good" as long as they're fun 😉
