NEWS: Year-end financial results indicate the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) is reporting a 6.0 per cent increase in earnings to $284.7 million.

Antigonish remains as one of the province’s top performing locations, with combined net sales of $17,131,489.69, the Church Street brick-and-mortar is more than double than any other location within the Strait Area.

COMMUNITY: The federal and provincial governments are investing just north of $3.5 million in water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades that will help the Town of Antigonish and the Municipality of the County of Antigonish prepare for future growth.

The municipality is expanding the St. Josephs and Lanark water systems to provide access to drinking water to more properties; the town is upgrading the water main and sewer infrastructure along Bay and Main Streets and building a storm water sewer and curbs on both sides the streets.
