October 2nd

10:00am โ€“ 11:00am

There's no doubt that cyber security is a hot-button topic. It seems that every day there's a news report, media post, etc. talking about some organisation that has fallen victim to cyber criminals. For the small business owner, cyber security frequently becomes just one more rock on an ever-growing pile of "must-do's" that have little to do with actually running your business. And yet, it can't be ignored. So, what's a business owner to do?

๐Ÿ”— Register today: https://www.mycommunityfuturesbc.ca/webinars/1076/cyber_security_for_the_small_business_owner/

Participation in this workshop is free of charge within select CF-service regions. Outside of these areas, you can still join for a fee-for-service. Please check the eligibility details on the myCommunityFutures website.

Why do Chambers of Commerce exist?
At our core, Chambers connect businesses, advocate on their behalf, and help create the conditions for growth. When local businesses succeed, the entire community benefits.

Over the next little while, we will be sharing insights into why Chambers matter, the trends shaping our economy, and the reasons businesses choose to join.

Let's start the conversation.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Follow along, and tell us: what does Chamber membership mean to you? We would love to hear from you, drop a note in the comments.

Congratulations, David Mitchell.

We were honoured to have our Accessible Entrepreneurship Services (AES) nominated for a Workplace Inclusion Award from the Open Door Group, held September 19th in Vancouver. We were represented by David Mitchell from AES and Kath Britton from the Export Navigator program; proud to be recognized alongside so many inspiring individuals and businesses across B.C. who are leading the way in workplace diversity, accessibility, and inclusion.

The evening brought together more than 250 attendees, including business leaders, government representatives, community agencies, media, and outstanding nominees who are sparking change and breaking down barriers.

Although we did not take home an award this year, it was a true honour to be recognized among such remarkable organizations and individuals.

We remain dedicated to fostering accessible entrepreneurship opportunities and celebrating the achievements of those who are creating more inclusive workplaces for everyone.
