Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations.

Strong northwesterly winds combined with falling snow will lead to reduced visibilities in blowing snow this afternoon across the Red River Valley. Visibilities will improve this evening as winds diminish.

In addition to the blowing snow, 5 to 10 cm of new snow is expected across the southern Red River Valley on Sunday.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve

Good Evening everyone, I would love to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Winnie!

Winnie is a 3 month old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever cross who has quickly adjusted to our sometimes chaotic household in the 3 days we have had her, I already couldnt picture our lives without her.

If you see me out there chasing next season make sure you come say hi to her as she is super friendly and affectionate and loves meeting new people! ❤️

The next round of snowfall is crossing the MB/SK border at this time, this snow will make its way east across southern Manitoba today, expect 5-10cm for areas along Trans-Canada highway including Brandon, Portage la Prairie, and Winnipeg. Less snow the further south you go (2-5 cm for areas along highway 3) , and more snow the further north you go (10-15cm dauphin-fairford-bloodvein)

Winds will also pick back up as this system comes in, with wind gusts 50-70+ km/hr creating blowing snow and blizzard like conditions once again for many of the same areas that got hit with yesterday mornings strong winds.
