Here is a financial breakdown of what I was billed for my surgery last year. This was after 1 month and a half of being hospitalized for my ependymoma. I was billed 8k for my deductible but had it written off because i was disabled and jobless (no s**t). This bill went into the million mark bc it didn't account for all the outpatient pt that I did. Healthcare here in the US is a joke. The only thing we have going for is tech. But had I not had insurance, I'd probably be dead. I guess my net worth is 1 million at 28 😒😒😒 ALSO, I never got my wheelchair from anthem bluecross cause they wouldnt renew my insurance. I thank all those that helped me in my time of need cause the bureaucracy wouldn't.

IIt's been a year since I was clinically diagnosed with my spinal ependymoma cancer. I had a lot of help along the way to literally get back on my feet from you all and around the world. I got to meet people who are like me; learned so much along the way and caught up with old friends and family. I am proud to say I can walk without the assistance of a cane. Sure, I get fatigued quickly but it's been significantly better than how I was in April of last year. Going back to work and school gives a sense of normalcy not felt since the pandemic. There's not enough words to describe my gratitude to you all and remember everyday the tasks that (like dressing myself) were impossible pre and post op. Thank you.

Good afternoon everyone. Here's the surgical video for those who weren't able to make it to my livestream during my ependymoma removal. They first checked nerve conduction with a bipolarizer to see what part of my spinal cord was responsible for what movement. Clear liquid was my cerebrospinal fluid. The dark purple was the tumor itself. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey and my road to recovery. I still have to deal with insurances, deductibles, etc. but I want to give thanks to the people who donated on my gofundme, everywhere else, and bought merch. It helped with my medical expenses like insurance and made the experience a lot less stressful. Much love and stay safe.

It's been a month since my surgery, and I have a discharge date! I'm resuming outpatient therapy for the next six weeks. I can't thank all of you, occupational and physical therapists enough to teach me how to walk again. Detailing process Friday 7 pm live.
