Kitty appreciation post 🥰 10 years ago, I adopted Brandy from the BC SPCA North Cariboo. She's pretty elderly now, but still going strong. Brandy and her little sister Linus are family & improve my quality of life so much.

Today the province announced it's helping rebuild the PG shelter and several others. We think it's really cool that they're improving the lives of pets & people across BC:

We are very proud of Dan and his friends on the release of their first full-length album! It's the results of years of work, and many highs and lows. It is wonderful to look back on Flying Machine PG fondly, as a beautiful chapter in our lives.

Truly a celebration of what friends can accomplish together, Flying Machine is excited and proud to release their first full length album: “My Finest Friends”. Full of warmth, optimism and ripping guitar and violin solos, this collection of songs can only be described as Flying Machine’s best.

The band has spent the better part of five years honing a sound that inspires everyone to dance and feel good about themselves. Songs such as “The Kevin Smith Heart Attack Song” speak to a sacred truth, that every person is a prism and that the light of life shines through them. That each person’s perspective of the world is meaningful and is at the center of what art is.

What started as friends hanging out and playing music, transformed into something incredible that is cherished by those involved. By listening, we hope you will feel the enthusiasm and love we have for this project.

What comes next is uncertain, but what happened is beautiful.

I have a new favourite place - !!! 🌸 It is just totally enchanting. It’s part cafe, part crafting studio. I will look forward to learning to make terracotta earrings and crepe paper flowers! And having many laughs with friends - exactly my definition of a good time.

The Makerie was dreamed up by our friend Kim. And she did it!! 10/10 on ex*****on! 🙌 She is an entrepreneur, artist, baker, host extraordinaire - an all-around talented person. She and her husband Bruce have spent their pandemic time doing massive renovations to the space. I just can’t believe they did this themselves!! It is so beautiful, warm, modern...but you should see it for yourself.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the grand opening, so swing by for a coffee/tea/fancy drink and a sweet treat! (I had a vegan cupcake that was so delicious I inhaled it before taking a photo.) It is in the Photofax building, right across from . @ The Makerie

My mom took a million photos of me growing up...so she was in hardly any herself. I love being able to turn the camera on her! This little walk on the beach is a beautiful memory.

I can’t say how lovely it was to see my mom again! Especially during the pandemic, I’ve been feeling really bad that I live so far away. I wish I was closer, so I could be more helpful!
It’s been 7 years since I moved away from home. It’s funny how distance makes you more aware of similarities and differences. During our morning coffee, I noticed a new mug in the cupboard - “Best Cat Mom Ever.” I think I would also be in the running! 😝
Rupert is a very handsome boy. He always looks shocked when I start chasing him...as if he didn’t realize humans could run.

It's hard to wrap your head around the size and scale of the Coastal GasLink Project - but we tried to capture it in this video.

We have personally met hundreds of the people working on it, in some of the most remote and beautiful places in the province. They are tackling massive challenges to build something that is setting a new standard of safety and respect for all people.

Now more than ever, I am so grateful that this project is underway. It's supporting thousands of people in BC and beyond.

We spend 90% of our time behind computer screens...so this weekend was a rare and special! We hiked up Mt Pope in Fort St James.
This was our very first (mini) vacation this year. Great to breathe in the fresh air, get a beautiful change of scenery, and try something new. Feeling reinvigorated! 😁
