Barna is gone. Yesterday my friend drummer Simon sent me a text saying that Barnabas moved on. I’m still processing the news. It’s so hard to believe that Barna is not here in the flesh with us anymore! My friend, my brother Barna!
Stanley Barnabas Bryan had many talents. He was a very good drummer, he was also a producer and a deejay just to name a few. We spent some great times when we were in the Gladiators together. On the road we were sharing room and had long, very long discussions. On stage and in studio, we were drum and bass and had an understanding. He used to call me Father Dread and me call him Son Dread… Last time I saw him was in Brazil and we quickly took that picture backstage of República do Reggae. I’m losing a bredrin. The reggae community lost a great one but his work lives on. Rest in power my brother. My condolences to his family and friends that are still here with us. Bless.
