"Christmas Joy" is a playful, heartwarming track I wrote and composed back in 1989, and it first appeared on my debut album Phase One in 1993. It’s a silly, fun song that celebrates all the little quirks of Christmas + family & friends gatherings, laughter, and those moments of pure joy that make the holidays special. It’s meant to be a sing-along, a tune that reminds us to appreciate the people we love and the simple happiness that comes from being together and to be realistic in a world gone mad. This December, a new version of Phase One is coming out, and Christmas Joy is ready to bring a fresh dose of festive cheer to old and new fans alike.

“Ne Me Fais Pas Peur” — which means Don’t Scare Me — captures an intimate and deeply personal exchange set to music. The song carries a quiet vulnerability, a plea between two souls navigating love, trust, and the fear of loss.

The addition of “(Our Song)” makes it more than just a track — it’s a reflection of a shared history between Zena & Victor, a tender echo of their connection.

Built around melodic samples from Rani Stetie’s earlier work, this version was recorded in Montreal during spontaneous improvisations when Zena first arrived — an open invitation into our creative bubble.
