My house is a fine balance between plants and content creation gear.

It’s a vibe.

Tbh, this entire year has felt like a busy season, and honestly, I’m here for it.

I always say if I’m not stressed I’m depressed and perhaps that’s something I need therapy for but alas, here we are.

There is something a little extra satisfying making it to Christmas.

The lead-up to the holidays is always the biggest push for brands to be seen online. Between giveaways, extra advertising, last-minute changes, and everything in between, it’s a lot of extras. So reaching the finish line feels really good 🏁.

What are you thanking yourself for this season?

Alright, part one is here! 🎥

This is the actual filming part, and it’s easier than you think.

Here’s what you’ll need:
✨ Some painters tape or anything you can use to mark the floor
✨ A tripod, or get creative and prop your phone somewhere stable (bookshelf, stack of boxes, whatever works!)

You want your camera somewhere it won’t move, and you won’t touch it while filming.

Here’s the move:
1. Film part one and swipe your arm in front of the camera
2. Run, change, and come back
3. Line your toe up with the mark on the floor
4. Film part two

That’s it! Super simple setup, no fancy gear required.

🎬 Next up: I’ll be finishing the editing tutorial tomorrow so you can see how to make this all look seamless.

Would love to know if you’re gonna try this? 🙋‍♀️

If you’re a millennial like me…

you didn’t grow up thinking “one day I’ll be filming reels for my business.”

Yet here we are…

If you’re a small business owner or entrepreneur, creating content isn’t optional anymore, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Before we even talk filming or editing, here are a few very unsexy but very important basics that will instantly level up your videos:

✨ Wipe your camera lens (yes, really)
✨ Clear the clutter behind you. Your background shouldn’t steal the show
✨ Make sure the background isn’t distracting or chaotic
✨ Good lighting is everything
Natural light is my fave
No natural light? Invest in a solid ring light. Game changer.

This series is beginner friendly and built for real humans running real businesses, not influencers with a full production team.

🎥 Next reel: Part 1. Exactly how to film the content you’ll need for this transition. (Will be up shortly)

Save this so you don’t forget, and follow along if reels feel intimidating but you know you need them.

Do you know what makes me happy?

People who chase their dreams. Who refuse to sit on the sidelines.

The ones who say, “Why not me?”

Those are the people I want to work with — and they’re the people I’m already working with. That’s exactly the energy Sarah has brought.

I love how inspiring she is and the big things she has coming.

If you’re a woman who cares about taking control of your own health in a holistic way (without the toxic positivity), you’ll want to head over and give a follow.

Her page is real, raw, and relatable — just like the work she’s building.

Love what you do because life’s way to dang short.

I’ve found this weird rhythm that works for me—waking up at 4:30am to knock out client work while the world’s quiet

Then I can close my laptop by 11am and take my motorcycle for a rip or lose some balls on the golf course—depending on the mood (and weather).

It’s not all Pinterest boards and pretty feeds… if you know me, I get crazy overwhelmed some days.

It’s emails, late-night chaos, website glitches (or domains that just straight up disappear .for.2 🤦‍♀️ ), constant change, and the occasional coffee-fueled breakdown.

But it’s mine. I built it.

I get to choose who I work with. I get to design brands and strategies that actually make small businesses feel seen.

I get to travel, to create, and to build a life that fits who I am—not the other way around.

Being your own boss isn’t always cute.
But it’s absolutely worth it and I do love it.
