As we near both the halfway mark of the campaign and the halfway point on our stretch ladder, you've no doubt noticed that we still haven't told you what our final stretch goal actually is. That changes today: the final stretch goal playset at $77 777 CAD is "The Ninefold City" by "Field Guide to Memory" co-creator Jeeyon Shim.

It's no secret that games like "Exalted" are a big part of Eat God's inspirations; in "The Ninefold City", you'll finally be able to confront these familiar-yet-legally-distinct divine lawgivers in their shining heavenly city and show them what you think of their god-given mandate – that is, if we reach our final goal!

Eat God is fully funded in under 24 hours – 19 hours and 19 minutes, to be exact – and is now barrelling toward its first stretch goal playset: "The Dazzling Below" by "Caltrop Core" creator Titanomachy RPG (https://titanomachyrpg.com/). Can we hit that target as well before the first day closes? Based on the rate at which new pledges are still coming in, we're certainly going to try!

Penguin King Games' next title, "Eat God", is live on Kickstarter:

Eat God is a (mostly affectionate) parody of all those tabletop RPGs about reality-warping martial artists with complete sentences for names on a quest to dethrone God, casting players as gender-ambiguous muppety things sticking it to the Man through the power of gratuitous cartoon violence. Using its extensive (and fully randomisable) character creation system, you might play as a blue-furred social justice advocate with detachable limbs; an amorphous, many-eyed horror with strong opinions about the nature of the cosmos; or a jet-powered telepathic crab whose interpretation of "eating God" is strikingly literal.

Backers will receive an expanded e-book version including illustrations, examples of play, bonus content, and (in the PDF version only) a professional full-colour layout. Alternatively, those with money to burn can pledge for a limited edition hardcover which will not be made available outside of this campaign. In either case, those who supported Eat God in early access via itch.io may receive special discounts – so if that's you, be sure to read the reward tiers carefully!
