Posting Chandler from the Regina Humane Society every day until he finds a home!!! This handsome fella had a tough start to life and has been looking for his home for far too long! So let's get him that love and home that he deserves!

Some dogs inspire you with their resilience, and Chandler is one of those dogs. ❤️

When Chandler arrived, it was clear he had not always been treated with the kindness every dog deserves. His face and body bore the scars of old wounds, likely from fights with other dogs. He was underweight and frightened by sudden movements. Whatever Chandler experienced before coming to us, both with humans and other dogs…it left its mark. And yet, despite everything, Chandler remains one of the gentlest, sweetest dogs you could ever hope to meet.

During his time in our care, we've watched him slowly learn that not all people will hurt him. He's begun to trust, to relax, and to let his personality shine through. But Chandler doesn't give his heart away right away. When meeting new people, he can still be shy, uncertain, and sometimes bark when he's nervous. Because of that, many people never get the chance to see the incredible dog hiding beneath his fears, making it hard for them to imagine him becoming a part of their family.
However, those who do earn Chandler's trust discover something truly special. When Chandler loves someone, he loves them with his whole heart. After a lifetime that seems to have been filled with uncertainty, Chandler is ready for something he's likely never had before: a family of his own and a place where he finally belongs and will be loved unconditionally.

To help him build positive experiences and confidence, Chandler has been spending weekends away from the shelter on Slumber Parties with foster family. Each time, he settles in a little more, showing his loving, goofy, affectionate side. He just needs patience, understanding, and a little time to feel safe.
