We had a blast bringing our virtual reality experiences to students in grades 4, 5, and 6 at a local Regina elementary school! The kids jumped into two immersive worlds: one to learn about recycling (a project we created for our client, SALT) and another designed for first-time VR users to experiment with the technology.

The excitement was contagious, and the students even said they wish they could learn this way in school all the time! This proves that VR is a powerful tool for education that can be instrumental for all ages.

VR for Real-World Readiness: We were thrilled to work with RCMP Depot to develop the Cadet VR Firearm Range trainer.

This virtual reality simulator was designed to enhance fi****ms proficiency for cadets. Recognizing the challenges of limited range availability, this VR solution empowers cadets to practice and refine their skills during their free time. To maximize realism, we even repurposed a decommissioned firearm with 3D printing, providing an authentic feel. Our immersive simulations go beyond practice, identifying individual skill gaps and enabling targeted development. This benefits both the cadet's journey and the overall effectiveness of their training.

Sometimes the coolest projects let us entertain and educate! That was definitely the case with our Captive/SaskTel Augmented Reality experience. We developed a AR web and mobile game where users could jump into the action of football, hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. 🏈🏒🏀🥍

This interactive game not only provided a fun, immersive experience at various sports events but also showcased the incredible potential of 5G technology. Imagine the thrill of seeing over 40,000 fans live at a CFL game seeing the AR game!

Virtual Reality for real-world jobs: The Regina Work Prep Line Cook Experience is here – a project we were thrilled to develop!

We are excited to announce the release of our virtual reality Meal Assistance Training as part of the Brantwood Community Services project.

We developed a training module and refresher course on assisting residents with their meals. The goal was to provide an experience that gives the user feedback on anything they may have missed and can help keep their skills sharp. Using virtual reality for training is very beneficial for both employers and workers, as real-life scenarios can be re-created in a both a safe space and a cost-effective manner. It also provides employers with insightful analytics that give them the bigger picture on the needs of their teams and the abilities of those they are looking to hire. By training workers through immersive simulations, we can identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for areas of improvement, both on the individual level and also at a company level.

We are excited to share a look into our virtual reality de-escalation training.

VR training has evolved significantly in recent years, but with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, we can now offer even more powerful and dynamic training experiences. Virtual reality, enhanced by AI, is an exceptional tool for preparing staff to handle a wide range of de-escalation scenarios, providing real-time feedback and adaptive learning to improve communication and conflict resolution skills.

It can focus on developing communication skills to manage tense interactions with distressed or upset customers. Employees will engage with conversational scenarios, practicing techniques for calming individuals and resolving conflicts. It can include empathy, HEAT, or even sales training; all driven by AI interactions that allow for employees to improve their expertise in a gradual skill building environment. Research from a study done on police de-escalation training, demonstrates that de-escalation training can have a significant impact: reducing use-of-force incidents by 28%, decreasing citizen injuries by 26%, and lowering officer injuries by 36%. These results highlight how such training fosters a safer environment for everyone involved. This hands-on approach instilled a sense of empowerment, as staff witnessed the impact of their actions within the virtual environment.
