Puakea is one of Hawaii's best-kept golf secrets, and one of its most fun rounds too.

Puakea Golf Course winds across more than 200 acres of volcanic cliffs, deep ravines, and mountain-fed streams, designed by the late Robin Nelson, one of Hawaii's most acclaimed course architects, who called it "the most fun course to play in Hawaii."

Every hole feels distinct, shaped by the natural drama of the land. Several scenes from the original Jurassic Park were filmed across the property, and the round often doubles as a wildlife tour, including sightings of the Nene, Hawaii's state bird and one of the rarest geese in the world.

Ranked among Hawaii's top public courses by GOLF Magazine and a repeat "Best of Kauaʻi" honoree, all at a green fee well below the island's resort-tier rounds.

Designed by London-based Foster + Partners, the 870-foot bridge is officially set to begin construction this August and will take roughly two years to complete, arriving alongside Nobu Nashville, Fallon's Eastpoint, and a reimagined Nissan Stadium taking shape along the same stretch of riverfront.

Nashville has just unveiled a closer look at its upcoming world-class performing arts center, introducing one of the city’s most visually ambitious structures yet, wrapped in a flowing curtain of aluminum tubes that shift and shimmer from every angle.

Designed by BIG in collaboration with Hastings Architecture and William Rawn Associates, the 307,000-square-foot campus will anchor the city’s rapidly evolving East Bank and bring four performance venues, including a Broadway theater, dance and opera hall, and more intimate spaces.

The design acts as “an architectural manifestation of music,” a fitting reflection of Nashville’s identity as Music City, with a presence that’s meant to be experienced from every angle. Construction is expected to begin in 2027 with an opening targeted for 2030.

New York is pushing forward one of its most ambitious skyline plays yet, a 95-story supertall at 175 Park Avenue beside Grand Central Station.

Spanning nearly 3 million square feet, the SOM-designed tower will deliver next-generation office space, a hotel stacked into the upper floors, and a bold structural design that rises into a striking crown, reshaping the streetscape below with expanded public space and elevated terraces.

After years of slow movement, new filings point to a potential construction start as early as this summer.

Candyroot Lodge is bringing a new scale of destination golf to the Sandhills with a 1,200-acre project just outside Jefferson, anchored by plans for up to four 18-hole courses, a par-3 layout, and a full hospitality and wellness program. The first course, led by Mike Koprowski, is targeting preview play later this year ahead of a full opening window around 2026–2027, introducing a design that leans heavily into the site’s natural terrain.

Set across rolling, sandy ridgelines descending toward Buffalo Creek, the layout minimizes shaping and bunkering in favor of native grasses, smaller greens, and ground-based play shaped by the land itself. Positioned within reach of both Charlotte and Columbia, the project stands out as a rare public-access development in a region increasingly defined by private clubs.

The broader vision includes on-site lodging, hot and cold therapy wellness facilities, fitness spaces, and an integrated trail network, with additional courses expected to bring in a new generation of architects as the property continues to build out.
