DAY 3 — THE FIRST GAME AS HUSBAND & WIFE 🏓💍❤️
The wedding was over.
The flowers were still fresh.
The decorations were still shining.
The wedding dress was hanging quietly in the corner of the room.
But something was different.
For the first time, they weren’t just boyfriend and girlfriend.
They were husband and wife.
She looked at him and smiled.
“Good morning, husband.”
He smiled back.
“Good morning, wife.”
Then there was silence.
A beautiful silence.
Until she asked the most unexpected question…
“Ready?”
He looked confused.
“Ready for what?”
She slowly reached behind the door.
And pulled out…
TWO PICKLEBALL PADDLES. 🏓🏓
He laughed.
“You’re kidding.”
She shook her head.
“Nope.”
“It’s our first day as husband and wife.”
She handed him a paddle.
“So… let’s play.”
And just like that, their honeymoon began.
Not at a five-star resort.
Not on a tropical beach.
Not in Paris.
But on a pickleball court.
🏓❤️
They walked onto the court together.
She was still wearing a little piece of her wedding veil.
He was wearing the same shoes he wore at the reception.
People around them started laughing.
“Newlyweds?”
“Yes,” they answered together.
“Already playing pickleball?”
She smiled.
“We don’t want to waste our honeymoon.”
The game began.
3–0.
She was winning.
He looked at her.
“You’re letting me win, right?”
She laughed.
“Absolutely not.”
5–2.
She hit a perfect shot.
He couldn’t return it.
“Point!”
She raised her paddle like a trophy.
“I told you.”
He shook his head.
“This marriage is already becoming competitive.”
She walked closer.
“Of course.”
“Why?”
“Because I married someone I want to beat.”
😂🏓❤️
They continued playing.
They laughed.
They missed easy shots.
They celebrated ridiculous points.
They argued playfully about whether the ball was in or out.
And eventually…
They forgot about the score.
Because they realized something.
Marriage wasn’t about always winning.
Sometimes it was about losing together.
Sometimes it was about encouraging each other.
Sometimes it was about laughing after a terrible shot.
And sometimes…
It was simply about standing on the other side of the net…
and choosing the same person…
again and again.
The game ended.
They didn’t even know who won.
She walked toward him.
“So…”
“So?”
“Who won?”
He smiled.
“You did.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Really?”
“No.”
She laughed.
“You’re learning already.”
He took her hand.
“Honestly…”
“What?”
“I think we both won.”
She smiled.
“Why?”
“Because yesterday I married my favorite person.”
He paused.
“And today I got to play pickleball with her.”
She leaned against him.
“Then let’s make a deal.”
“What deal?”
“No matter how old we get…”
“No matter how many games we lose…”
“No matter how competitive we become…”
She held up her paddle.
“We keep playing.”
He raised his paddle beside hers.
“Deal.”
🏓❤️💍
And that became their first rule of marriage:
Love each other deeply.
Laugh together often.
Forgive quickly.
And never stop playing.
Because their wedding day wasn’t the end of their love story.
It was only the beginning.
And somewhere between the kitchen, the living room, the backyard…
and the pickleball court…
they were about to discover that marriage was going to be their greatest game yet.
TO BE CONTINUED…
