jk but we definitely lucked out with the timing! you can always guess, but the golden larches are so unpredictable.

grateful to live so close to magical places like this, have a JEEP that can get me to trails like these, have friends who like to be silly outside together, and catch early morning light hitting the mountains just right 🥹✨

consider this your reminder that a quick mid-week adventure out of service can be the peeerrrrrfect reset.

i think i can check a few things off my fall to-do list after this one 🏔️✨

at the time i didn’t really think of any of this as starting over. i was just changing my mind… then came finding somewhere to live, making friends, building routines and changing my driver’s licence again. 🫠

sometimes something didn’t feel right. other times, like working at the provincial park, i was having so much fun that when they asked me to stay for winter i thought well f**k it, let’s see what happens.

what i wanted mattered more to me than being “behind.” even when i was back in another first year uni class. i swear i’ve taken some form of english 1000 like four times now. 😭

i used to expect the next place or thing to fix everything, but that’s not my outlook anymore. i just want to enjoy trying it. how would i know what i liked if i hadn’t gone and done it? i could’ve stayed with any of those plans, but then i wouldn’t have gotten to try the others.

now i put waayyyy less pressure on every decision being THE thing i do with my life. sometimes “i want to try this” is enough, without knowing where it’ll lead.

and if you try it and don’t like it? that’s useful information too. slightly annoying if you’ve moved all your stuff there, but useful lol.

everything is a win when the goal is experience. 🦋
