A truly life changing experience at The Inn at Bay Fortune

It was super rainy and windy on the day we went but that didn’t stop our group of dedicated foodies and gardeners from taking a farm tour and learning all about how they grow everything they use on site at the Inn.

I grew up watching Chef Michael Smith on TV and it was a dream come true to see the incredible culinary experience he has built over on PEI. I highly recommend it if you’re a big foodie and I hope to return someday!

Finally had a Canadian lobster roll after spending a few summers in Maine⚓️

This one is from The Lobster Shack and it was my favourite of the trip. Very simple, lets the lobster shine through, crispy buttered roll, and only $22!

We also grabbed one from Tom and while it was tasty, it was also more of a “lobster salad” situation with lots of mayo, celery and other mix-ins. Delish, but not my preferred lobster roll experience.

I will say, I feel like the ones I’ve had in Maine, particularly at The Lobster Shack @ Two Lights or Johnny Shucks had bigger, snappier chunks of lobster which can’t be beat 🤤

Ok look there are some good sushi spots in Ontario ( ) but unfortunately they just aren’t oceanside.

This otoro and hamachi from Tah-Xido at is without a doubt the most delicious & fresh bite of sashimi I’ve ever had. Not pictured: the nigiri we ate too quickly to capture.
