is continuing the soup content you’ve been craving and this one didn’t disappoint. We took a trip Niagara Falls to try one of Will’s favourite spots for Pho 🍜

The standout dish for me was the Spicy Thai Curry Soup with a peanut butter and coconut broth featuring red and yellow curry. The creamy texture to the broth combined with the spicy kick and flavours of peanut and coconut were delicious and something I’ll be going back for.

The House Special featured medium rare eye round, well done veal flank, tripe, and beef balls. A staple on any Vietnamese menu and one of Will’s favourites in Niagara.

The Xyclo Prawns and Pork and Spring roll were both flavourful and great options for sharing to enjoy with any soup dish.

The Holiday Trail on December 18th will feature over 25 businesses open late, with free activities to check out while you get your retail therapy in or grab that last minute Christmas gift you’ve been putting off.

I get it, it’s 2025 and online shopping has taken over almost everything we do, but there’s still a place for in person brick and mortar. Shopping downtown gives you a chance to connect with the people behind these small businesses who work year round to create something personal and unique.

The Holiday Trail is a reminder that supporting local is not just about buying a gift, it’s about being part of a community and experiencing the city in a way you just can’t get online.

is an institution in Thorold and rightfully so. Being in business for over 50 years while providing excellent products and customer service will make you a household name in any city.

Outside of the regular butcher services John’s has incredible sandwiches for just $10. One of the best deals in the region and quite frankly one of our favourite quick stops for lunch.

If you’re new to John’s you need to get their meatballs. They’re the best.

and got to put on our consultant hats for an evening with .ca

They brought us in to check out their brand new space and offer some feedback on what we thought. Overall we really enjoyed the space, service, and menu with some minor changes coming to mind but those generally fell to personal preference and palette.

The gnocchi, lobster linguine and pizza were the stars of the show and reason enough to come back. Especially the gnocchi, that’s one one we wouldn’t skip.
ca is working on improving their product and willing to have that conversation which says a lot about their team and the progress they aim to achieve day in and day out.

We think this one’s worth a visit 🍝

has some amazing Hamilton cream donuts but I couldn’t skip the monkey bun. One of my favourites from their menu alongside the pizza lineup.

When it comes to Boston Cream donuts there are plenty that hit the spot. Right now our two favourites are the Boston Cream from Ravine Vineyards and another one that sits in a tie for first place all the way in Hamilton.

We’ve been to many times since our first visit in January for donuts and pizza. This Hamilton gem is well worth the drive from Niagara and beyond 🍩

In light of our recent donut kick we had to bring back our video on the Beamsville institution

Some say they have the best Boston creams while others plant them as the best donuts in Niagara. Regardless of your stances Beamsville Bakery is well worth a visit on your weekend itinerary 🍩

is a hidden gem when it comes to your standard ramen stop in the region but I think it deserves some love.

You may think it’s exclusive to students but they’ll serve anyone willing to make a stop and try some of their menu.

This place hits the trifecta of affordable pricing, excellent customer service and delicious, authentic, cuisine. The pork ramen and beef curry were excellent and will be back to explore more of the menu.

Be sure to check this one out this week as they close on Friday for the winter break or you can catch them in 2026.
