Good Morning Lovelies! Happy Friday!!! Sunshine today and a high near 23, 14 along the coast.

A new law will make outdoor balloon releases illegal in Louisiana, drawing some criticism from community members who say the practice helps people mourn the loss of loved ones.

The Louisiana state legislature passed a bill last week that would ban the intentional outdoor release of Mylar and latex helium balloons starting August 1.

But the Louisiana Wildlife Federation said that when the balloons come down, they can harm animals that may ingest them. The balloons can also interfere with power lines and electrical infrastructure which can cause dangerous and costly damage.

Hi everyone! Another great event occurring this evening from 5-9pm is the Saint John city night market which will be occurring the first Thursday of each month!

There are lots of food vendors, arts and crafts, live music and more! Come grab some food, shop around and dance the night away 🎶

Hey everyone! Tonight I attended Pink in the Park, which was hosted by the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, where many community members came together to support and raise money for breast cancer patients 💗

The event included a barbecue, raffle tickets and of course lots of baseball!

JOELLE: I had the best time at Lily Lake chatting with Deborah about the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival! It's the 1st annual Tim Hortons Dragons On The Lake at Lily Lake in Rockwood Park on August 15th.

There are already 16 teams registered and there's still room for 5 more, so get your friends, family and coworkers together for a fun day on the lake!

Plus proceeds are going to 2 incredible charities- The Lily Lake Pavilion's children's programs in Rockwood Park and also the Lancaster Branch 69 Royal Canadian Legion serving local veterans, active military, RCMP, their families and the community.

And during the chat I also go to chow down on some delicious nachos and fish n chips! A beauty of a day today so head to Lilly's patio for lunch and enjoy the food, the scenery and the ducks!
