It’s no secret that I love color.
I love the way the sun moves, how light shifts over the land, and the magic that happens when it meets my lens. I’m endlessly inspired by Mother Nature—her depth, her warmth, and the way she paints the sky without ever repeating herself.

Color is my love language in photography.
I honor it. I enhance it.
I let it breathe.

I will never take away color unless it’s to intentionally shape a feeling… but when I see tones like this—rich golds, soft pinks, deep earthy shadows—I lean in. I saturate with purpose. I respect the natural palette and bring each hue forward exactly as she intended.

This evening was pure magic.

Below are two roses, each holding a different truth in my eyes — two versions of womanhood, two reflections of strength, two pieces of my story.

The Rose With the Reflection
In this image, the rose reflected in the water is the woman who still questions her own beauty — the parts of her that don’t always see what others see.
The roses scattered around her are the women who have loved her, lifted her, protected her, and held her through every season.
Because of them, her colors deepen. Her vibrancy grows.
She learns to see herself through their eyes — through the eyes of community, sisterhood, and the people who see her light long before she does.
This is why the photograph glows the way it does. Why it’s more vibrant.
It is the beauty of becoming.

The Single Rose
And then there is the single rose — me.
Elegant. Exotic. A soul with the strength of a lion.
Even in the moments I have wilted, I bloom again — every season, with more wisdom, more love, more power than before.
I stand alone not out of loneliness, but out of certainty.
I know who I am.
I know my rarity.
I walk toward my dreams independently, carried by the quiet cheering of those who believe in me.
And above all, I walk with God.
This single rose hangs over the water not to admire itself, but to see His light reflected back — the reminder that I am guided, protected, and never truly alone.

Two roses.
Two stories.
One woman — becoming, rising, blooming.
Again and again. 🌹

As we step into the colder months, I’m reminded of a calm, beautiful afternoon spent with my daughter while capturing these moments. 🌹

Rose is not just a name in my world — it’s a symbol of romance, strength, softness, and the grace of blooming even after wilting. It’s the flower I used to gift my Nana, not as a single stem but as a full bush rooted in love.

“Rose” wasn’t the name I was given… but it’s the name that grew with me. It became the heartbeat of everything I create — a reflection of who I am and what I stand for.

I’ve been in this business for a long time and I’ve never seen that venue look so good — they made it look expensive in the best possible way! 🌹

🌹Yesterday was such a special day — I took my son to get his very first tattoo… and I got my first ever tattoo too! 💪

We’ve talked for years about getting matching tattoos, and now that he’s 18, we finally did it together. I was honestly terrified, but I faced my fear — and I’m so glad I did.

For a milestone like this, there was no question who we’d go to — our friend Josh Peters, one of the best in the city. I trusted him completely with both myself and my son ❤️

check out 📍 LAST PORT TATTOO on Rothesay Ave, lots of amazing tattoo artists in there who are now accepting walk-ins! They also have a Barbour in the back!

And of course, I brought my camera 📸 because I wanted to capture some unique shots and document the entire experience.

This was such a beautiful moment — one I’ll never forget. Grateful for the memories, the meaning, and the bond we’ll always share. ❤️
