I've been waiting for this Press Release so I can share the news of the releases of Digital Singles off this Album! "Stuck In The 80's" drops on Friday, December 12th and "Fast & Furious" Drops on Friday, December 19th. The Digital Album is scheduled for release on Friday, January 23, 2026. TORONTO, CANADA (December 12, 2025) — Perris Records announces the release of HELIX’s new full length album “SCRAP METAL” on January 23rd, 2026. The digital singles release dates are December 12th, 2025 for "Stuck In The 80's" and December 19th, 2025 for "Fast & Furious". This will be the 14th Helix release on Perris Records. Helix just finished touring with Nazareth supporting the “Bending The Rules” tour, Nazareth’s farewell tour in Canada. The SCRAP METAL release features 5 unreleased tracks that retain the “classic” 80’s Helix sound. The remaining 5 tracks are a collection of classic Helix songs from other releases such as Old School, half - Alive & B-Sides. The first single “Stuck In The 80s” features Sean Kelly (Gilby Clarke, Coney Hatch, Lee Aaron) on guitar. Most iconic 80’s bands only tour on their back catalog NOT Helix, they continually record new music staying true to their 80s rock roots and maintaining a legendary status.

Here's the first release from our upcoming album SCRAP METAL. The idea for the album came about as an afterthought and morphed into something REALLY special. Originally, I had thought that I'd re-cord some of the songs that we wrote around 1985-88 but never released...But then Sean Kelly & I wrote STUCK IN THE 80'S, which, when you think about it, sums up these songs quite well. It was also Sean that suggested we re-record PRETTY POISON. I'm so glad we did, because the song turned out so good. It took on a new life with the middle 8 that Sean added to the song, plus a re-write of the lyrics.

We'll be playing STUCK IN THE 80'S for the first time live when we come to Ottawa next Thursday at The Hard Rock Cafe. Hope you like it! Here's the lyrics, and here's the video:
