Congratulations to Amino North America Corporation (ANAC) on completing their 42,000-square-foot expansion! This expansion, made possible by a FedDev Ontario loan, includes a new automotive manufacturing line utilizing their advanced sheet Hydroforming technology.

A cornerstone of this investment is the press line, featuring five state-of-the-art presses. The lead press in the line is one of Amino’s most distinctive and emblematic technologies: a 3000-ton fluid forming press. This line was designed to enable ANAC to expand the complexity of the parts they manufacture while simultaneously decreasing production time. This increased efficiency will allow ANAC to maintain its leadership in the Hydroforming sector, retain its existing workforce, and create additional jobs in our local economy for years to come.

As ANAC continues to grow, they will keep producing the automotive body panels, steel, and aluminum components for the appliance, heavy-duty truck, agriculture, and construction industries that formed the foundation of their business. Concurrently, their new line will push the boundaries of sheet Hydroforming technology. A prime example is their current work on deep-draw battery enclosures for the electric vehicle market. These trays are likely to become an industry standard as they eliminate the need for seals between the bottom tray and sides, a requirement for other enclosures. As a leader in the field, ANAC will undoubtedly see increased demand for these high-quality, efficiently produced deep-draw battery enclosures.

At the grand opening in August, industry and political leaders gathered to tour and celebrate the successful construction of the new space and stamping line. ANAC, established as the first North American operation of the Amino Corporation of Japan, also treated guests to Japanese cultural festivities, including a Sake Barrel Breaking Ceremony and performances by members of the NAE project, who showcased Taiko drumming, traditional Japanese flutes, and dance.

Establish Media was honoured to be asked to capture this historic local event through photos and videos and is pleased to share a selection of those photos with you now.

Visit the ANAC website for more information about this local innovator or for information on how to apply for a job.
