I’ve been hiding something. For the past 8 months, I’ve been working on building my own recording studio. Today is the day that I FINALLY announce it’s opening. It’s called Studio Evil Eye. This is a little story on it.
For those of you who don’t already know, 2023 was a pretty crazy year for me. While working at Electric Lady Studios in New York, I got the call that no one ever wants to get. My father had passed. My dad was a lot of things, but deeply he was a musician and a lover of music. He was the one who instilled this deep passion for music in me. He allowed me to discover music in all of its beauty and gave me the strength to ultimately pursue it as a career. As time went on after his death, I knew that I wanted to do something in his honour, but I wasn’t sure what that would be. In recent years, I really got into the art of recording and engineering music. Sound. While it drives me crazy sometimes, it’s what I love the most. From the moment that I first stepped into a recording studio, I knew. I knew this was it. I knew this was what I wanted to do. And I had to do it. No matter what. The recording studio was always this haven of creativity for me. It really is a magical place. Evil Eye is exactly that. It’s a place that I and other artists will get to create in. A place where, for a moment, nothing will matter exept the music. It’s a place that will forever carry my father’s spirit, being and soul. It will allow artists to inspire and be inspired. Hopefully, it’ll keep the music going. Because I think it’s important. And my dad thought it was too. As cliché as it sounds, this studio is the result of (literally) blood, sweat and tears and I’m so proud to tell you that it’s finally done—ready to open to the world. Evil Eye is for artists. For creatives. For the black sheep that lives in us all. For people. It’s for the music. For the deep love of it and for you, dad.
EVIL EYE IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!!!
