I got a cat a little while ago. He was my grandmother’s cat before my grandmother died. He loves finding the most random places to sit or even hide. And like most cats, want attention when you least expect it!

What a legacy he left!

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Brian Doerksen, author of “Come Now Is The Time to Worship,” “Refiner’s Fire,” “Purify My Heart,” and many other songs that have helped generations draw nearer to God in worship.

Thank you, Brian, for faithfully serving the Church through your music and ministry. Your legacy will continue to inspire and lead hearts in worship for years to come.

What have you been cooking lately?
These three photos are just a small sample of what’s for dinner some nights.

I still have not calculated exact costs per meal, but I know some of these ones pictured were pretty cheap to make.

Note: I share some of my groceries I buy with the people I am living with. I also help pay them some for food, electricity, and internet.

So some of my new followers are probably wondering who is behind Paul's Musings?
Well, it’s Paul Vincent Branscombe behind the page.

Who am I?
I’m a passionate follower of Jesus Christ who wants to share a bit of his story and life experience with you all.
I also manage the Instagram page called debtfree_branscombepaul
I have combined these two accounts for postings. So sometimes you will see updates based on my financial journey, and other times it will be regular, everyday musings.
Originally, when I created this page, I wanted to do a lot of live streams or “live” recordings of mini devotionals or songs that I love to sing and play. I am certainly open to sharing about just about anything that you might want to hear from me, just send me a message on here and I will try my best to get content based on your feedback/ suggestions.
I also want my Instagram account to reflect a similar message. Therefore, posts will be a mix of everything.

What is my purpose in all these posts (whether reels, stories, streams, just pictures with content, etc.)?
To bring God the glory.

Who is my audience?
Anyone and everyone: family, friends, acquaintances, and beyond!

As some of my followers may know, my grandmother died on July 1, 2026.

Grammie was a sweet lady and definitely modelled “doing good” (‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭10) because of her faith in God.
She’s definitely in God’s arms now and being prepared for the new heaven and the new earth that we are all one day promised as written in Revelation 21.
Pictures from my High School graduation in 2010, a recent family photo of her immediate family, and one from this past Christmas 2025 that I quickly snapped (I know it’s not a great photo but it’s my most recent photo of her…).
She made it to many family occasions.
She loved her family and cared for them dearly.
She loved every second of gift opening and often stopped opening hers to see what others were getting.
I bet she’s enjoying seeing her friends and family who have already gone before her!
