MEET JENNIFER KALYN!

She has always been a lover of theater, both on stage and off. She has had a love for all things acting and production related from a very early age. She is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Television Broadcasting program (Ottawa, Ontario). She has had multiple positions in productions over the years including a seat filler coordinator for the CanWest canSpell Spelling Bee, camera operator at the ONtario Colleges Marketing Competition, Model Wrangler on the final season of Project Runway Canada, Tier 1 Runner for the last season of Canadian Idol and spent 3 years closed captioning, writing for and providing voice overs for adult films and TV shows. Jennifer was also an extra in the film Downsizing.

MEET ALENA T. ALVAREZ!

She is an actress, musician & writer based in Toronto, Ontario. She voiced Danny in the award winning short film “Journey”, among other small projects. She is the lead vocalist & lyricist of her band & has worked on other various musical projects. She self published her first poetry book in 2022 & plans to publish another in the next couple of years. Alena has years of training for on screen film from Niagara college, Straeon acting studios, LB acting studios & has worked on various small film projects. One of her goals is to finally land a commercial; fingers crossed!

We are casting for seasons 3 & 4 of The Tear Stained Throne! An audio series produced by Grimrose Studios, written, directed and edited by Jessica Alexandria.

After Queen Simone Skien was kidnapped by the rebellious group known as the Metonia, her life takes a drastic turn for the worst. Not knowing who to trust or which way to turn. Everyone she has come to know finally reveals their true intentions and puts her life at risk. The forbidden love of Simone's life returns and she is reunited with her family after three long years of an imprisoned marriage.

While creating a scandalous plan to retrieve his wife from the hands of the rebels wanting to take down his kingdom, King Tobais Skien works closely with the head of the kingdom guard to make renovations to the villages. Leaving townsfolk enraged, homeless and worse. Drawing suspicion to Tobais's competence towards running his kingdom, resulting in the other rulers taking a stand.

MEET STEPHEN T. HOLMES!

He is an actor and comedian born and raised in Exeter, Ontario who has always had a passion for the arts and creativity.
Stephen graduated from Fanshawe College's Theatre Arts program in 2012 and has been acting in plays and films in the surrounding area ever since. In 2017 he co-founded the comedy duo The S*M Experience with his friend and comedy partner Matthew Miner. The pair release new sketch comedy videos every month on their YouTube channel and have also created the podcasts Corn Town, a true crime parody podcast, and The Spooking Minutes. The pair have had their work featured in comedy festivals across North America and have also been featured on Funny Or Die.

MEET JOSHUA PIRT!

He is a film/drama enthusiast. He was a triple threat theater youth camp volunteer which helped him to make many connections. His favorite role from his past is the coach from Footloose The Musical at Imperial Theater.

He has previously worked on Grimerose Studios' production of Nimue’s Whim. A short horror film as the store owner.

MEET RUTH HUANG!

She is an aspiring actor from Toronto, Ontario. She previously attended the theatre program at Earl Haig Secondary School, and has since done all sorts of projects, from stage plays to TV shows. Ruth joined The Tear Stained Throne series in order to gain voiceover experience. She is currently signed with Star Talent Inc.

We have had the honor of working with Ruth through our audio series The Tear Stained Throne. Starring as an extra in season 1 and the Viscountess in the following seasons!

MEET MICHAEL LAKE!
He is an actor and producer who has been working steadily in the film industry for several years and has over one hundred onscreen credits. His recent film “The Dark Factor”, from Hollow Ground Pictures, has been circulating festivals the past year, garnering him a Best Actor award from the Alternative Film Festival. He is a two-time recipient of the award having previously won for his film "Edwin", which is available to stream on Tubi.

Other screen credits include "The Treatment," "Nightfall", "Group", “After Mum”, “Purgatory”, “Reel 2”, “Wildfire”, and the A&E docuseries “Waco: Madman or Messiah”. You can follow more of his work at imdb.me/michaellake.

Grimrose Studios has had the honor of working with Michael on the audio series The Tear Stained Throne, where he portrays King Tobais Skien, the cruel ruler of the kingdom Duimouire.
