“There’s a lot going on in these 10 days, but I think we make improvements every year, and the community makes it all worthwhile,” said Anita Smith, the artistic and executive director of 25th Street Theatre and the person in charge of running the Saskatoon Fringe Festival.

'Much Ado About Nothing' is a hilarious and high-energy production, and a great way to get into Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan or just Shakespearean plays by themselves.

For the 2026 Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan festival, it's a pirate-themed comedy with "Much Ado About Nothing" and a modern and malevolent betrayal-laden tragedy in "Julius Caesar," directed by festival stalwarts Anita Smith and Joshua Beaudry, respectively.

PodSask is looking for keen writers with an interest in the following areas to contribute to the website:

- Theatre 🎭
- Music 🎸 from classical to classic rock (and everything in between)
- Visual arts 🎨 painting, sculpture, art installations, etc.
- Dance and choreography 🩰
