“I feel, in many ways, more like myself and more optimistic and more happy than I have in a long time,” said Andrew Bennett, also known as musical artist Factor Eight. “I think you can hear that in the music I’m making now, and to get through something challenging like this I can’t just dwell on what’s unfortunate. I have to dig deep and find that strength in me to get through it, and the kind of music I’m making right now is capturing that strength.”

"'A Christmas Story' has two attractive draws for me. One is nostalgia… I love the way the stage adaptation plays with memory and the nostalgia the characters have for their youth and family,” Persephone Theatre artistic director Heather Cant said. “The second part is the kids. It’s a fantastic play to showcase our young talent.”

How often do newlyweds play romantic leads together... in a show all about weddings?

“I thought (my own wedding) would change my mentality more than it did, and maybe that’s a compliment to our production team to be able to treat this as any other show, given the circumstances,” Jory Fidler-Jukes said. “Initially, in the first couple of rehearsals, that was the moment it felt surreal to be doing a show with my future wife that’s all about weddings.”
