Not gonna lie, I was hyped when I saw these at the grocery store—thought they said bipolar grapes. I was ready for a wild ride: one bite sweet, the next bite sour, maybe a full identity crisis in between. Turns out, they just say bicolor grapes. Talk about a letdown. Guess I’ll have to settle for emotional stability today.

I was invited to speak at the Mental Health and Addictions Justice Conference in Toronto this week. When I stated that I needed to bring mental health support for myself, they denied me.

Oh, the irony.

This decision isn’t a setback—it’s clarity. I believe this is the Creator telling me that’s not where I’m supposed to be.

Never ignore the doors that close on you. Sometimes, they’re not rejections—they’re redirections. The right spaces will honor your needs, not dismiss them. Stay true to yourself, and trust that where you’re meant to be will always make room for you.

Yesterday, I almost turned down the opportunity to go to Oklahoma. Fear crept in—the irrational belief that accepting these opportunities would somehow place me in a position to let everyone down. But after talking it out with one of my supports, I came to a powerful realization: I’m not letting anyone down. In fact, the people in my corner are cheering me on.

There was a time when doors like this didn’t open for me. When I was locked in an iron cage—trapped in addiction, living the street criminal, gang life—opportunities like this weren’t placed in my path. But this? This is recovery. This is transformation. This is the direct result of every commitment I’ve made to growth, healing, and learning.

Self-sabotage is real, and if you listen to the voices of doubt, they will lead you astray. Don’t let fear rob you of your own potential. The life you dream of is waiting on the other side of your own hesitation—step into it.
