I love drum photos so here’s a stack of them!

Finishing a mix for the song that this setup was used on and I find it so satisfying to look back on the photos in context of the end result 🤩 this song is planned to be released in a few weeks!

Back into the swing of things for the new year (never really stopped let’s be honest). We a great session with on Monday laying down some trumpet and flugelhorn for a funky tune for ’s upcoming album! Paulina’s first single will be out in just a few weeks and I’m very excited about the production of this one 👀

Happy to have hosted rehearsals for and her band last week. She’s finishing up her debut headlining tour playing in Calgary tonight, Regina Saturday and Winnipeg on Sunday. Would highly recommend catching the show if you haven’t before!

Always a great time with ! Getting to see how he puts together the percussion parts by a combination of programming and live performance is pretty crazy! Everything adds up to be so full and captivating 👌🏼

Spent about 3 hours today moving my subwoofer and changing its settings, plus added 3 tube traps to the middle of my front wall. I used FuzzMeasure to graph each configuration along the way and I was able to get a significantly flatter response between 50-250hz which I’m super excited about! If this means anything to you, check out on YouTube to hear him get all nerdy about tube traps. I did, and it’s paying off with each rabbit hole I go down!

Guitar overdubs, mix exporting, pre-production and some drum setup to take me into the weekend. Maybe a nap or two thrown in there as well…🙃

Getting close to wrapping up an acoustic album for ! The family harmonies are featured on one of the songs and they tie the song together in such a nice way.

All of these songs have something very special about them and it’s a treat when a song just feels right, let alone eight of them. I love the songs that Adam wrote and soon you will get to as well!

Over the summer I was asked by to help create an updated version of the jingle! The goal was to keep it as familiar as possible while breathing new life into it, so that’s what we did.

sang the new hook, played drums, on trumpet and Nathan Jones on sax. I got to play the bass, guitars and keys as well as mix the jingle. did what he does to finish things off 🙌🏼

Keep your ears open when listening to the radio to see if you can catch it!

Nice to have a bass amp again!

I grabbed this 70’s Brentwood amp off of marketplace a few weeks ago. It had a partially broken speaker which I fully broke trying to fix it. Replacement speaker came in yesterday and it was quick job to swap the speaker and get this cab back together 👌🏼

A few shots from this weekends drum session! I love this crazy 28” kick drum and pairing it with the vintage 16x16 floor tom and 6.5” maple snare is certainly a fun vibe! It gives me a 1920’s marching feel… but make it western!

I’ve been quite guitar focused the last couple months and it’s reminding me how much fun it is to chase tones and use configurations that aren’t my regular go-to. Real amp or software amp, each has its time and place and it’s been fun getting to use a combination of both on various projects!

I’m a huge fan of getting artists to play what they can when we’re in the recording phase. Katelyn played some acoustic guitar, shaker, tambourine and other misc percussion, sang harmonies and came up with some vocal effects that are buried in the song. This song was so much fun to work on and I think you’ll enjoy it too 🤠

Photo dump from my drum session a couple weeks ago. This was for a pop-country track and we were going for some big, yet punchy and tight sounding drums. Very groove focused, not much for fancy stuff on this one but it sure feels great to listen to!
