It's a throwback to 1964. The Canon Demi half frame camera is a 35 mm camera which takes double the number of images using only half the size of a standard 35mm frame.

Other cameras from this area include the legendary Olympus pen which had a significantly large lens and took better images.

I would not change this camera for the world it is small, extremely well built comfortable to hold quick to operate and is an aperture priority camera.. which is my favorite mode.

The focusing scale is directly on the lens but on the rear of the camera there is a zone focusing equivalent chart for those of us who are not exactly brilliant at working out distances.

The light meter is not coupled and that means that you read the light level rating off of the top of the camera and then you manually adjust the aperture on the lens control.

It's wonderful that RETO / Kodak have launched the H35 because this brings a whole new generation the experience of using a half frame camera.

My recommendation is to go and buy an original half ring vintage camera it just has a feel that the lightweight plastic modern camera does not. They are great value for money and so much fun.

It never too late for a bit of joy! Let me tell you, this throwback advertisement brought back all the feelings of the first time I saw a Coca Cola advertisement and it meaning something to me. Oh to have those feelings again! The innocence and fun of it all.

Rooftops are not just to protect what's underneath.

I was reading a story about rooftops being converted in places like Singapore to more environmentally friendly uses.

The planting of crops and green spaces which has a couple of effects one of which is the reduction in the ambient temperature as the sun isn't heating a solid surface which would then radiate the heat outwards.. the plants do their jobs and not only grow but they absorb the heat.

In the center of the city outside of my window I can only think of one roof which has been fully converted into green usage with fresh produce being grown right there in the center of the city.

Looking out the window the only other use for rooves around here if they're not just being used as snow and rain barriers, is for rooftop decks for the pubs around here.

Summertime with friends. I could not have asked for a better Sunday, following a Saturday with fam. What a beautiful weekend!
