📖 Once upon a time, there was a girl named Venessa who knew absolutely nothing about chocolate… and somehow found herself competing on a reality TV baking show called The Great Chocolate Showdown.
I battled it out, gave it my best shot, and ultimately did not win. 🥲 But little did I know, losing would be the beginning of a very expensive love story.
What started as a spark of curiosity slowly spiralled into a full-blown chocolate obsession, turning me into the chocolatier I am today. 🍫✨
Looking back at some of my earliest creations is a journey in itself. My techniques have evolved, the chocolate has gotten fancier, and the price tags have gotten a little more unhinged. But one thing remains unchanged: I am STILL photographing my chocolate on random pieces of drywall. Some traditions are simply sacred.
And so, every year, as the holiday season approaches, something magical happens. I emerge from my regularly scheduled life as an oncology pharmacist and transform into a chocolatier for a couple of months, creating my annual collection of ridiculously luxurious chocolate bars and an advent calendar that has absolutely no business being this extravagant.
