In this episode, Shauna DiGasparro takes us on a tour of St. Vincent Place in Sault Ste. Marie, a registered charity dedicated to helping people in need with basic necessities, skill development, and transitional housing.
Originally founded as an emergency shelter by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Vincent Place is now a food bank and also focuses on providing support to help men transition to independent living.
We explore the organization's vital role in the community, and sit down with both clients and volunteers in the organization.
For more information about St. Vincent Place, visit their website (https://www.vincentplacessm.ca/) or stop by their main building at 222 Albert Street East, Sault Ste. Marie.
