It's an exciting day for Dundas. DundasToday will strengthen the local news ecosystem in the Hamilton region—ensuring that the unique voices, events and issues of Dundas are represented alongside its neighbouring communities.

The local team is looking forward to providing trusted, relevant and timely hyper-local coverage to the Dundas community from this day forward!

Another month, another major award nomination for one of our Village Media journalists 🎊

BarrieToday's Kevin Lamb is nominated for Best News Coverage (Community Publication) at the 10th annual Digital Publishing Awards for a series of articles that put a face on the homelessness crisis in his community.

Other great news to share: our local sites, along with business partners and readers, raised over $31,500 to support shelters in our communities 🫶

Also in May, our SPACES teams had the chance to meet up IRL with hosts and community members, giving the opportunity to connect with neighbours over shared interests.

The Canadian Association of Journalists has announced this year’s finalists for Canada’s top investigative journalism awards and our very own Jessica Owen is among them.

And ICYMI: Our Inside the Village team scored an exclusive interview with Mark Carney just days before the federal election. That marks the second interview in less than six months with a Canadian prime minister.

SPACES is live! Welcome to Sault Ste. Marie’s very own social network.

This new, revolutionary approach to social media (debuting first in Sault Ste. Marie with expansion plans for more communities in the near future) is designed to be hyper-local, knowledge-based and safe.

Each space is a pocket of connectivity, helping Saultites stay informed about what’s happening in the area and foster authentic relationships around shared interests.

SPACES is a social network for Sault Ste. Marie hosted by community champions. Members can get informed, exchange ideas and connect with neighbours.
