Embracing Life's Seasons: My Tapestry of Family, Faith, and Freedom

I'm feeling reflective today, looking out over our acreage as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with strokes of pink and gold. I'm reminded of the countless sunsets I've witnessed in my life, each one marking the close of a day spent in pursuit of a life filled with love, purpose, and independence. I want to share with you the story of how these sunsets have been a constant, comforting presence in my journey.

My story is much like a tapestry, with each thread representing a different part of my life. The strongest threads signify the bond of family. With three amazing grown children and thirteen grandkids, family is the fabric of my life. We've shared laughter and tears, and these threads have held strong through it all. Even when times were tough, when my own health with MS challenged me, it was the love of my family that kept me resilient.

The golden threads in my tapestry are my faith. It has been the light guiding me through the darkest of times and the sparkle in moments of celebration. It's a faith that speaks less of rituals and more of a deep, abiding trust in the goodness of life and the love that connects us all.

And let's not forget the vibrant threads of financial freedom. As a retired bookkeeper, numbers have always made sense to me—they're straightforward and honest. After years of diligence, learning, and sharing knowledge with others, I have woven a financial safety net that allows me to live my retirement years with the freedom to travel, explore, and help my family and community thrive.
