Meet Halo ๐ค (AKA Juneau as you may have seen me refer to her as on my stories)
Halo is an approximately 2โ3 year old White Swiss Shepherd who is looking for her forever home.
She had a rough start in life, but she is an incredibly loving, affectionate girl who just wants to feel safe and be with her people.
Halo needs a patient, understanding home with someone who has the time to continue working with her. She loves being with her people and would be happiest with someone who wants a dog to include in their daily life walks, adventures, relaxing at home, and plenty of cuddles.
She does experience separation and confinement anxiety and is currently working on these skills every day. We are working to teach her that being alone and being in a kennel can be safe and that her people will always come back.
Because of this, her adopter will need to be prepared for a gradual transition and continued training rather than expecting her to immediately settle into a new routine.
Halo would likely benefit from a calm, confident canine companion in her forever home.
She is also an escape artist when anxious. Until she is settled and comfortable in her new home, she will need to be supervised when outside and have secure fencing. She has previously escaped kennels and 6ft dog runs, so extra precautions will be necessary if she is being confined.
We are actively working on building her confidence, helping her learn to settle, and teaching her that she is safe.
Halo is looking for someone who will give her a chance, continue the work, and show her that she is finally home.
