We sincerely thank everyone who participated in our "Basketball for a Cause" event last Sunday. Thanks to your generosity and support, we successfully raised $5,291. This amount includes donations from our Drop-In players, volunteer barbers led by Gino Coronado, the Ryan Pagador family and friends from the food vendor, a significant contribution from Rommel Sanchez, and additional support from Dylan of the Vancouver Bandits and the Bandits Foundation, and Pacific Academy for providing the court.

We also received generous contributions from the LLD basketball teams: Kabayan Restoration, The Kings Grace, Ascenda College, Vanpsycity, Bisdak, TTP, Haides, Wildtribe, and COB. Additionally, the tournament cash prize won by Team Haides from Filipino BC, in collaboration with the honorable Mable Elmore, contributed to the total.

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this event. All proceeds will be donated to the families affected by the Lapu Lapu Day tragedy. Your kindness and community spirit truly made this event a success.

We are still finding the words to express the deep heartbreak brought on by this senseless tragedy. We are devastated for the families and victims.

We will not be taking any media requests, as we are focused on supporting our community right now, in addition to experiencing this trauma. We also want to make it clear that we discourage the viewing and sharing of the videos that are currently circulating of the tragedy.
