Romesh's journey has been a long-winding road through many musical disciplines. As a classically trained cellist, Romesh earned a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and is an alumnus of both the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and the MUN String Quartet. Romesh's training dovetailed with his role performing, writing and recording as a multi-instrumentalist (cello
, guitar, keys) with the band Hey Rosetta! During his undergraduate degree, Romesh developed a strong foundation in music theory and a love for composition. His compositions and arrangements span a wide array of instrumentation, including brass ensembles, string quartets, SATB choral arrangements, electronic compositions and pop songs. Romesh's strong passion for creating music led him to pursue audio engineering and producing, eventually recording, mixing and producing albums and songs for Hey Rosetta!, Steve Maloney and the Wandering Kind, Delusion Victims, East of Empire, Secret Connection, and galaa. This groundwork has provided him with valuable insight into the full creative process; from nurturing that first spark of inspiration all the way to a polished product. Romesh's wealth of experience and training has given him a unique opportunity to explore the vast expanse of music from many different angles.
