আটলান্টিকের পাড়ে এক মাস পর বৈশাখ উদযাপন!

দেশে থাকতে খুব সাদামাটা, কিছুটা রোবোটিক জীবনযাপন ছিল আমার। বৈশাখ আমার কাছে নিতান্তই একটা ছুটির দিন ছিল! আম্মু অবশ্য বেশ আয়োজন করতো। পুরো বাসা ডিপ ক্লিন দিতো বৈশাখের আগেই। পাচন রান্না করতো, থাকতো কাঁচা কাঠালের তরকারি। নাড়ু তো ছিলই। দেখতে দেখতে দিনটা কেটে যেত।

ঘরের খেয়ে বনের মোষ আমি অনেক আগে থেকেই তাড়াই! তাই নিজে সক্রিয়ভাবে উদযাপন না করলেও অন্যদের উদযাপনের আয়োজন করে দিতাম বরাবরই! ভার্সিটির প্রথম বৈশাখ উদযাপনেও রাত জেগে অরিগ্যামি করে, কার্ড আর ডেকোরেশনের জিনিস বানিয়ে, সকাল সকাল স্টল সাজিয়ে দেওয়া প্রোগ্রাম শুরু হওয়ার আগেই আমি বাসায়!

বিদ্যানন্দের বৈশাখ উদযাপনেও আয়োজনের কাজ সেরেই বাসায় চলে আসতাম। তাও তানু আপুর টানাটানিতে একবার বের হওয়া হয়েছিল। শিল্পকলায় আকিব, নকিব, রায়হানের সাথে দেখা। সেবারই প্রথম ও শেষ আমার বাইরে বের হয়ে দেশে বৈশাখ সেলিব্রেশন।

মার্কেটিং এজেন্সিতে কাজ শুরু করার পর বৈশাখের তোড়জোড় বেশ আগেই শুরু হতো অবশ্য। যত ক্রিয়েটিভলি বৈশাখ প্ল্যান করা যায় সবই হতো, ব্র্যান্ডগুলোর জন্য। অফিসে বৈশাখের আয়োজন থাকলেও শুধুমাত্র একবার আমার নামকাওয়াস্তে কিছুক্ষণের জন্য যাওয়া হয়েছিল। সোশ্যাল মিডিয়াতে অন্য ব্র্যান্ডগুলো কি করলো সেটা নিয়ে বিশদ আলোচনা চলতো দিনভর। কেমন লাইফলেস!

বিদেশে অনেক কিছুই মিস হয়। তবে দেশের বাইরে আসলে দেশের প্রতি অন্যরকম একটা টান তৈরি হয়। দেশের সবকিছুই ভালো লাগে। তাই দেশীয় উৎসবগুলো বেশ আয়োজন করেই উদযাপন করা হয়।

কে ভেবেছিল কোন এক বৈশাখে উত্তর আমেরিকার ছোট একটা শহরে কনকনে ঠান্ডায় শাড়ি পরে, হালকা মাঞ্জা মেরে আমিও বৈশাখ উদযাপনে যাব!
