On the one-year anniversary of the death of NL blues great Denis Parker, we’re proud to release our latest short documentary film, "A life Well Played — Remembering Denis Parker", produced with ArtForce NL. The film explores how UK-born Parker, originally signed to EMI (the same label as The Beatles and Pink Floyd) ended up in Newfoundland and Labrador in the early ‘70s where he continued to live, make music and build the provincial music industry for 53 years. The film features interviews with Parker’s friends and fellow musicians. "A Life Well Played — Remembering Denis Parker" was produced in-part by youth participating in Artforce NL film program. Artforce NL’s is an organization dedicated to supporting the creative growth of youth. Walsh Productions has been a proud partner in this program for several years.
