Frugal not Cheap

We were eating lunch at a park when my eldest son said we are a cheap family. I asked why and he said "because instead of eating out, we brought food cooked from the house".

I told him this; we are not cheap but frugal. Cheap is having low quality of life.

A person with so much money and spending it with vices that he will reap diseases someday, that's cheap.

A person who showers himself with lavish clothing and yet could not lend a hand to people who are in need, that's cheap.

A person splurging in travel and food yet still owes other people money, that's cheap.

It doesn't have anything to do with having loads of money but rather, the choices one does with life.

Challenging magsimula ng bagong buhay sa ibang bansa, pero hindi ito hadlang oara hindi natin mabiguan ng fond memories ang ating pamilya. Minsan, wala sa garbo ng destinasyon yan, pero nasa kung gaano mo naappreciate ang pagkakataon na pinagsasaluhan bilang pamilya.

Importante na sa mga simpleng bagay ay marunong tayong magpasalamat. Otherwise, you will miss the biggest blessing that you have right now, and that is the time well spent with your loved ones ❤️
