Welcome to the official page of Pictou County rock band, Jet Black Mirror
We are:
Adam MakBain - Vocals/Guitar
Daniel Marshall - Drums
Joel Boyce - Backing Vocals/Bass
‘Jet Black Mirror was originally formed by singer/songwriter, Adam MakBain in 2012. Over the next four years the band would have a constant rotation of various musicians and perform under a few different names, ultimately ending in 2016 with drummer Dan Marshall and Adam MakBain performing acoustically under Adam’s name and playing his solo material.
In 2022 Adam returned to the spot light with brand new solo material with songs such as, Beautiful Boring, Not That Bad and Under Eyes, but this time, performing and releasing in the fully electric format. He performed over the next two years with the help of backing tracks but performing without a band just wasn’t the same. By February 2024, Adam connected with long time friend and bassist, Joel Boyce (Beyond Ash/Frail) and they continued working on MakBain’s solo material together. By the time spring rolled around, they were ready to bring a drummer for the project…Dan Marshall was given the call and quickly returned to complete the new line up once again, using the Jet Black Mirror name.’
We are EXTREMELY excited to be working together as a band and with the collection of really solid songs we have put together both old and new. We can’t wait to take JBM for a spin!
