We are officially ONE MONTH away from our HALLOWEEN HORROR ROCK SHOW 2 at Glasgow Square Theatre October 25th! Featuring Big Name Actors, Machete, Jet Black Mirror and East River Rats!

Our 50/50 fundraiser to help cover costs for decorating, set design and promotion is also in full swing with tickets selling fast! Make sure you get yours, now! You can pick them up directly from myself (Adam MakBain), from Brett Dahlia at The Tattoo Place or from Jet Black Mirror members, Dan Marshall or Joel Boyce. Draw will be announce the week of the show!

🚨 💰 50/50 FUNDRAISER 💰 🚨

To help fund the production of our upcoming A HALLOWEEN HORROR ROCK SHOW 2, at Glasgow Square Theatre, we are selling 50/50 tickets!

Funds raised will go towards large props, decorating and promotion cost for the show. We are trying to build the biggest and baddest Halloween event Pictou County has ever seen! With your help, I know we can achieve it! 🤘🏻🎃

50/50 Ticket Pricing:

👉🏼$2 per ticket
👉🏼$10 per booklet (6 tickets)

We will do a live draw and announce the winner, the week of the show (October 25th)

We went prop shopping today at The Home Depot for our upcoming Halloween event, October 25th! We are currently tracking down sponsors that would like to help make this one KILLER! We also have a 50/50 starting next week to help us out with our props budget, so stay tuned for that!

🚨 ATTENTION BANDS/MUSICIANS 🚨

Strutless Music is a small independent music company I started back in 2006. It’s always been for artists, by artists. Photo, design, video, promotion, events and recordings for independent local artists.

We are currently building and cementing our place in the scene here with our latest event at the Glasgow Square Theatre coming up in October, A HALLOWEEN HORROR ROCK SHOW 2

2026 will be the rise of Strutless Music. Events for the coming year are already in place! We will be looking for bands and acts interested in joining the Strutless family for future events, especially original rock/metal/alternative/punk bands who feel like they have a voice but no home to showcase what they do. This also goes for the new younger bands looking to get their start.

If you want to be a part of the killer line of bands currently on the Strutless family roster, follow our page and feel free to send us a message about your band with a little description, demo, video or whatever you may have to give us more details about what you do. Don’t be shy! This is a great little community of welcoming musicians and artists!

BIG NAME ACTORS MAKE DEBUT

Over the weekend, Hugh Wilson’s recently reformed band, Big Name Actors, (originally based from Toronto) played two sets, Friday night at The Shoebox Cantina. This was the bands debut performance with the new line up. You will definitely be seeing these guys around town! Great show, boys!

Welcome to the official page of Pictou County rock band, Jet Black Mirror

We are:

Adam MakBain - Vocals/Guitar
Daniel Marshall - Drums
Joel Boyce - Backing Vocals/Bass

‘Jet Black Mirror was originally formed by singer/songwriter, Adam MakBain in 2012. Over the next four years the band would have a constant rotation of various musicians and perform under a few different names, ultimately ending in 2016 with drummer Dan Marshall and Adam MakBain performing acoustically under Adam’s name and playing his solo material.

In 2022 Adam returned to the spot light with brand new solo material with songs such as, Beautiful Boring, Not That Bad and Under Eyes, but this time, performing and releasing in the fully electric format. He performed over the next two years with the help of backing tracks but performing without a band just wasn’t the same. By February 2024, Adam connected with long time friend and bassist, Joel Boyce (Beyond Ash/Frail) and they continued working on MakBain’s solo material together. By the time spring rolled around, they were ready to bring a drummer for the project…Dan Marshall was given the call and quickly returned to complete the new line up once again, using the Jet Black Mirror name.’

We are EXTREMELY excited to be working together as a band and with the collection of really solid songs we have put together both old and new. We can’t wait to take JBM for a spin!
