Good goddamn and other such phrases!

Hard Return come again with the goods and amazes! Newest release from the label specializing in persistent music just dropped this digital outing from Dangsha. Aberrant is four tracks of Mutant Dancehall against Fascists - sounds and pressure drawing on the history of sound system culture as agent of political resistance, more punk than punk and for the heads who dig monolithic dub destruction of The Bug, forward thinking bass culture along the lines of Hyperdub and genuinely excellent music.

Humbled and grateful for all the support folks have given the Prairiewolf release. To say the least, it has been overwhelming. The record has sold out, and we’re now looking at our repress options. I’ve had quite a few people (politely & not-so-politely) ask why we only pressed 100 copies. Well, that’s all the money I had in the label account at the time. I had just sent out the Nashville Ambient Ensemble and Elkhorn releases and depleted my reserves. As PW would tell you, I even sold off part of my own record collection to get this financed. Tis the reality of running a DIY label.

Just wanted to clear the air on that. I appreciate you all. Lots more rad stuff still to come this year. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

Dublin 3 piece Sir Marmalade first came to our attention when we happened across their track Steelrose Soap-Bed ( https://youtu.be/PfaOIs-tPSo ) last year. We were instantly smitten by it's BJM'esque, vibey, blissed out charm!
So it gives us great pleasure to announce we'll be putting out their first physical single, 'Liberty Ship', on May 26th.
Liberty Ship raises the game for Sir Marmalade. It's a fully charged, garage / psych romp heavily influenced by the original Nuggets collection with a hat tipped fully in the direction the current crop of bands like Thee Oh Sees, The Black Angels and the aforementioned BJM!!
Release date is set for Friday May 26th!

Latest from the pride of Owen Sound's Thresher's Homunculus has been unspooling on the regular here in the lab between dog walks and naps since landing. Equal parts beautiful and chaotic, this one picks up where Closing On A Minor Client left us. Improvised psychedelic business bordering on the ecstatic! Give yourself over to this cosmic drone business.. case in Point :
