What a privilege it is to work with you, Melanie Lausen Equine Services 🤎
It's been a while, and we have quite a few new followers so I suppose I should reintroduce myself!
I'm Melanie Lausen, and depending on the day, you'll find me teaching a lesson, working on a horse, setting up obstacles, wrangling my two sons, watching horses move, planning a clinic, or wandering around the arena thinking, "I should probably get my social media gal to make a Facebook post about this." 😂
I am an equine bodyworker (EEBW1) and horsemanship coach with 24+ years of teaching experience.
My background is a bit of an equestrian mixed bag, and I mean that in the best possible way.
I've worked in English and Western riding, c**t starting, roping, Cowboy Challenge, and I'm currently expanding my own knowledge into working cow horse.
Over the years, my coaching and bodywork have naturally started to overlap.
Because you can't always separate what you FEEL in the saddle from what is happening in the horse's body.
That's a big part of why I now offer Riding + Bodywork Sessions. We ride. I observe. We do bodywork. And depending on the horse, we may get back in the saddle and reassess.
My goal isn't to fit every horse or rider into the same program. It's to help you better understand the horse standing in front of you.
Chad and I are also continuing to grow Lausen Indoor Arena near Strathmore, Alberta, with boarding, arena events, lessons, clinics, and more opportunities for our local horse community.
So if you're new here, welcome! And if you've been here for a while... thanks for sticking around for all the horse talk. 🤎🐴
