Please be advised of the following advisory for 70 Kelowna / Penticton:

Effective Dates: November 04, 2025 9:21 AM - November 06, 2025 6:22 PM

Cause: Other Cause

Effect: Stop Moved

The bus stop in Westbank for route 70 southbound will be moved to a new location. The stop will be moved from beside the Wings restaurant to a location beside the Co-op gas station just south of Elliott Rd. This move will happen on Thursday November 6th.

Please visit the BC Transit Alerts website or the Transit App prior to departing for your trip for the most up to date trip information. Active alerts will be displayed. We are working diligently to avoid future service disruptions. BC Transit apologizes for the inconvenience.

Fall service change in South Okanagan-Similkameen

Transit System: South Okanagan-Similkameen
19 AUGUST 2025
BC Transit, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and the City of Penticton are advising transit customers of seasonal service change, effective September 2, 2025.

To adjust to an increase in demand with the school year starting, some trips on Route 5 Main will be adjusted.

The 9:25 a.m. trip on Route 10 Naramata, departing from Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, will be removed for the season. As well, trips added to Route 16 Lake to Lake for the summer evenings will be removed.

As part of this service change, Route 50 Penticton/Princeton will stop at the Similkameen Rec Centre for all trips and the on-request stop in Cawston will be removed.

๐ŸŽธ Riley and Lucian FM Statement ๐ŸŽธ

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Ozzy Osbourne, legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and an icon of heavy metal, has passed away at the age of 76.

In a statement, his family said: โ€œIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.โ€

Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinsonโ€™s disease in 2019 but continued to perform, delivering Black Sabbathโ€™s farewell show in his hometown of Birmingham just two weeks ago.

Known for his electrifying stage presence โ€” and unforgettable moments like the infamous bat incident โ€” Ozzy shaped the sound and spirit of metal for generations. In the 2000s, fans got to know a different side of him and his family through the reality TV series The Osbournes, giving a glimpse into their chaotic but loving lives.

Today, we remember a true rock legend whose voice, attitude, and music changed the world.
