Short Stories - Episode 01
There was once a woman so vile, so putrid, that she couldn’t even bear to witness the look of her own face. She was ashamed, heartbroken, and had no one.
This woman lived treacherous things as a child, but we won’t discuss that. As a result, a sinful hate grew deep in her soul. This hate would soon become the world’s undoing.
She went to school and studied very hard. She was the top of all her classes and excelled in spaces beyond what her classmates wouldn’t dare dream of. This woman excelled in business, accumulating more wealth than anyone in the land, and yet a fire within her continued to blaze with hunger for more.
It was clear that this woman’s hate was primarily toward men. She turned women against men in throes of tens and destroyed families. Turning motherhood into careerism, this woman gained a world she controlled. And now? She sits at the top of it all, somehow with gained supernatural powers, convincing all people that all men are the problem with the earth’s decline. “If it wasn’t for men, we wouldn’t have war! The air would be clean! If it wasn’t for men, every child would be wanted (almost overly dramatic in somber essence, yet detached.. annoying but too self-assure).” She even convinces the men that their end is coming and that to best serve their time now is to serve the cause, the preparations for the earth and its people to be ready for the time when men will be no more. She is not a murderous leader, so no body’s life is taken, however it is only the lucky several men who show extraordinary servitude that receive comforts. Otherwise, there is often an unspoken distaste for men, and a clear preference for female interaction. It is as they say “the 50s in reverse”.
Meanwhile…
In a forgotten land, people are thriving on very little. The sunrise can be watched over fields and seas, dirt roads and foot tracks lay everywhere, a small market bustles behind a wall of trees.
A mature mind lays eyes on the seas. She is strong, certain. This isn’t our hero. But this is a very important person without whom there would be no hero. She sees the sea as if to be seen by its own eyes. She closes her eyes and turns off to town.
This preliminary hero is about to fall in love.
Her name is Reese, she is suave and graceful, light-footed and very grounded. It is her heart that leads. She ventures into the crowd with her bag and searches for apples. There are people she sees every day, no new faces except for the newborns. Except… there is a new face. A cloaked figure unseen by the crowd, but Reese notices. The figure moves and pauses between stands. Reese notices the figure stealing an apple and running off.
Looking for an alleyway, the cloaked figure turns a corner suddenly facing Reese with kind yet cunning eyes. “I saw that.” Reese tries to reason with this mysterious thief only to be struck by her beauty once she removes her cloaked face. Bright golden eyes, like non Reese had ever seen.

Thanks for reading! These short stories are written in an effort to both write and promote my 4-part film series, “Invaluables”. Pardon the lack of actual story arching in today’s effort. Or maybe it’s ok? Really, I’m just exercising my writing and storytelling skills via FB posting because why not? I’m having fun and hopefully this could be the way I start gathering fans too? I just think it would be really cool to deliver the first movie to an audience of demanding fans 😉

Come back tomorrow to see where this goes!
