A lawyer sold his well to a teacher. Two days later, the lawyer came to the teacher and said, "Sir, I sold you the well, but it's not with the water inside! If you want to use the water, you will have to pay extra."
The teacher smiled and replied, "Yes, I was about to come to you. I was going to say that you should take your water from my well, or else you will have to start paying rent from tomorrow."
Hearing this, the lawyer got nervous and said, "Oh, I was just joking!"
The teacher laughed and said, "This is how people like you become lawyers after studying with us."

Dear God, give me eyes to see where you are sending me to minister. Give me a heart like yours that Is broken for those who do not know you. Give me the words to speak and share your truth with those who need it. When I face hardships, help me remember that this is to be expected, but remind me that though I face hardships, I will see your kingdom. May I be your hands and feet here on Earth, O Lord. O Creator God, you created us in your image, capable of having fellowship with you. You made our first parents upright, but they rebelled against you and brought death on us all. We were born in the likeness of fallen Adam, but you have called us be made again into the likeness of your Son. Give us a vision of Christ to which we can aspire, and change us by your grace from glory to glory. Amen.
