What happens when we slow down long enough to simply pay attention?
Recently, I collaborated with South African musician and artist David Kantey on Enchanted Forest, a short cinematic meditation that combines David's music and landscape paintings with footage captured in the natural world.
The project grew from a shared interest in stillness, attention, and the ways nature can help us reconnect with ourselves.
In a culture that often encourages us to move faster and do more, Enchanted Forest is an invitation to pause for a few minutes and simply be present.
As you watch, I'd love you to consider this question:
What place helps you remember who you are?
It might be a forest, a prairie, a lake, a mountain trail, or a quiet corner of your backyard. It may be a place you've returned to for years or somewhere you visited only once but have never forgotten.
Feel free to share your answer in the comments. I'd love to hear about the places that have shaped your life.
