4TH ANNUAL CAPER MEMORIAL: What a way to close out our 2025 Season!

Eight divisions rolled in from all over to put on a weekend our fans won’t soon forget. The weather tried to throw a wrench in our plans, but it held off just long enough for us to finish things up on Sunday and close out the season the right way.

It wasn’t an easy weekend — for our staff, our race teams, or even our fans in the stands, but it was worth it.

We want to take a moment to remind everyone that your local race track is powered by friends, family, and volunteers. We’re not promoters, marketing experts, event coordinators, or full-time speedway professionals. We’re just regular people, who have regular jobs outside of this, who love racing and do our best to keep the wheels turning. Sometimes, things like the weather or other unexpected challenges are simply out of our control.

At the end of the day, it’s about more than racing — it’s about the people who make it all happen. To our incredible staff, dedicated race teams, generous sponsors, and loyal fans: thank you for standing behind us, showing up, and keeping short-track racing alive in Cape Breton.

We’ll see you at the track next season for our 50th Anniversary — and trust us, we’ve got some pretty exciting things in the works! 🏁

Our team is all set on Grand Lake Road and ready to welcome fans, drivers, and crews back for the final weekend of the 2025 season!

It’s been a busy year of racing, memories, and milestones — and we’re closing it out with one last full-throttle weekend at Bud’s Speedway. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or coming out for your first time, this is the perfect chance to experience the excitement before we wave the final checkered flag of the year.

4TH ANNUAL CAPER MEMORIAL: POSTPONED UNTIL TOMORROW, OCTOBER 19TH @ 12PM.

This certainly isn’t the call we wanted to make, but after closely monitoring the weather and reviewing all available options, we’ve made this decision in the best interest of our race teams, fans, and staff.

We’ve been faced with ongoing challenges due to the current weather conditions, and while we always aim to see the event through, safety and the overall experience must come first. The track surface, visibility, and travel conditions all play a role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable race day, and we won’t take unnecessary risks when it comes to those factors.

Our team is currently working to revise the event schedule in a way that allows us to move forward responsibly. We’ll be prioritizing our away teams so they can complete their races early and safely begin their travels home.

We know how much time, effort, and expense goes into preparing for race weekends, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate this challenge. Our goal is always to provide the best experience possible — both on and off the track.

All bracelets purchased for today’s event will be honoured for tomorrow.
All ticket and bracelet sales are final — there are no refunds.

We’ll share the revised schedule and any further updates as soon as possible. Thank you again for your continued support and understanding.
